I love vintage fashion, whether it’s clothing or for the home, being unique is important to me. Looking at vintage books inspires me to think in creative ways. I found this book at a thrift store in Chicago and had to take it home. Plus it was 5 hardcovers for $1…I could not pass that up. Besides all the beautiful pictures, there is an envelope labeled new furniture arrangement kit. Within this envelope there are miniature furniture pop outs, a grid, and scrap paper all so you can design the layout of your room. There is an illustrated section that tells the history of furniture styles such as American Contemporary which consists of the Eero Saarinen pedestal chair and the Warren Platner table. Currently this style is called mid-century modern and is quite trendy. There are 20 chapters in this book and they cover everything from picking a color scheme to how to do fixer ups yourself. “Most of all, you’ll learn how to personalize your home so it truly reflects you”. I hope your inspired as much as I was. If you’d like your own copy you can find it on Amazon here.
